It was great to have so many local residents attend the Extraordinary Meeting of Hadnall Parish Council on 30th January. The Public Participation session was a chance for those present to share thoughts and questions about the budget and precept, and for Councillors to consult with them about their wishes and concerns. (Don't forget that this opportunity for public involvement is available at every meeting of the Parish Council).
Following some lengthy discussions, the Parish Council voted by clear majority to accept the proposed budget and to request a precept of £14631 to meet the needs of that budget. This will mean that the Parish Council's part of your Council Tax will rise by £3.59 per average property for the coming tax year (6p per week) in order to meet the slight increase in expenditure.
At the start of the meeting, Chairman John Harrison shared a statement which can be found on this website, where you will also find the agreed budget and notes about how the precept amount was calculated. The Accounts section also carries full information about the Council's spending, audit history, etc.
Full minutes of the meeting will be published as soon as they are available.
